Chris, I think I’d recommend the helmet option…

Sometimes, when I’m feeling a little low I play ‘clocks’, ‘the scientist’ and ‘yellow’ all at the same time, on constant repeat and with increasing volume until I feel that I am actually Chris Martin. It’s such an amazing feeling to consciously uncouple from yourself and hitch your trailer to Mr Martin’s consciousness. Truly mind blowing. Only joking. I can’t imagine what kind of tat you’d find floating around inside his bonce. You’d be experiencing some serious cognitive dissonance that’s for sure.

Anyway it’s been a good long while since we’ve done any celebrity quotes and I just couldn’t resist¬† doing a new one when I saw this quote from Coldplay’s sassy frontman. I think I’d safely recommend the helmet option for him. Probably safer that way. Now I’ve just got to think of somewhere fitting that I can deposit it on the street. Drop us a line if you’ve got a good idea…

Lady Thor

Lady Thor

Lady Thor test spray

With the announcement that Marvel are to¬†reinvent Thor as a lady in the comic book series I thought it about time to wheel out my version of Lady Thor that I’ve had kicking around for a while. I’d never really found anywhere suitable to paint her on the streets (and had only done her as a test spray) but with the advent of me trying to clear the various collected doors and other found objects from the garden I thought she’d be a perfect fit on one of the doors – and it turns out she is. Now i’ve just got to find somewhere suitable to leave her.

Here she is with her mystical hammer, Mjolnir, in hand calling forth some lightning in her sexy little metal breastplate and helmet. Although thinking about it that sounds like a rather risque outfit if you’re messing with electricity…

Fear not for the future, weep not for the past

Fear not for the future, weep not for the past

Fear not for the future, weep not for the past

This picture came about via a commission but eventually they didn’t choose this design and went for something entirely different. As I always liked this one however I thought I’d go ahead and paint it up anyway. I wouldn’t usually do this as designs that have been done for a particular commission are usually discarded or partially recycled because they had there time to shine and didn’t quite make the grade. This one though managed to pass muster though although i’m not really sure why.

This old soldier has the right idea though:

‘Fear not for the future,

weep not for the past,

From ‘The Revolt of Islam’ by Shelley
