Be still my beating (yellow) heart

Praise be for the internet and websites like Urban Dictionary because without them I’m pretty sure both of us here at id-iom would be left in the social doldrums. Nearly every day I’ll see something that I have no clue about and have to research the topic before it is confirmed that I still don’t have a clue what's going on.

In today's example we’re highlighting the apparent significance of the yellow heart - as opposed to it being red or whatever other colour. I think it works like this: if person A was secretly in love with person B but person B would only ever hand out yellow hearts to person A then that means that person A is considered to be a BFF by person B rather than someone to be considered romantically. Got it? Now that you’re officially ‘woke’ and ‘lit’ you can hopefully appreciate our homage to the humble yellow heart and Karen’s failure to achieve her aims...

Made using acrylic, spray paint, paint pen and charcoal and is 42cm x 42cm.
